Drilling Through Steel Lintels

Drilling through steel lintels can be tricky, we have a number of suggestions to make it easier.

When you hit a steel lintel use a Titanium Coated Bit such as the example on the left.

If it gets tricky swap between the Titanium and the Bullet Tip such as third example as they will start cutting again as you are changing the shape of the cut.

The second bit from the left is a cobalt bit which is for very hard libels such as Stainless Steel.

With all metal drill bits a cooling paste will also stop the bit overheating and so keep it cutting effectively.

“Live Chat”

The Team all have a great knowledge of the products through years of both measuring and fitting the products we sell.

We have a “Live Chat” system running so you can ask questions live to assist you in making decisions. Manning the “Live Chat” system is an experienced member of the team whom has fitted many blinds and has a wealth of knowledge to share.

We DO NOT use sales people to man our “Live Chat” and do not pay commission to encourage them to drive sales, just give great advice.

Ask us your questions, where possible include a photo, they say a 1000 words.

We also have a twitter feed that covers some of our inspiration ideas and top tips @DBlindsCurtains.
