Guide to Cleaning Those Blinds.
Guide to Cleaning Those Blinds.

Cleaning Blinds
Spring is here and there is no better time to give your whole house a really good clean
Here are my top tips for cleaning your blinds
Venetian Blinds
The cleaning process for both wooden venetian blinds and aluminium venetian blinds are very similar, regular dusting using an ostrich feather duster will keep them looking nice. For some extra sparkle, carefully wipe over the slats with a damp cloth (Microfibre is good) and immediately follow up with a dry cloth.
Roller Blinds
Water resistant and spongeable blinds can be wiped down with a damp cloth to remove any stubborn stains. Remember to use a dabbing motion, don’t rub the fabric otherwise this can dislodge fibres leading to an uneven look on the fabric.
If your fabric isn’t water resistant or spongeable then gently cleaning them with a feather duster will keep the colours looking vibrant and bright.
Vertical Blinds
Vertical blind fabrics are very similar to roller blind fabrics and can be cleaned in the same way (just check in Additional Information on the fabric page)
Roman Blinds and Curtains
All Roman Blinds and Curtains currently available on Direct Blinds and Curtains are Dry Clean only and should be cleaned only by a Dry Cleaning professional
I hope this has helped and will enable you to keep your window coverings sparkly and clean
