We offer a range of Blackout Blinds and Curtains if you want to block out the light from outside, whether it’s due to a street lamp or you just fancy having a lay in.

The options vary significantly in both there effectiveness to block out all of the light, particularly at the edges, and the cost. So it is important to establish your priority and budget in advance.

Roller Blinds

Roller Blinds are by far the most popular choice for a Blackout Blind.

Firstly they are great value for money in comparison with any other option. In addition they are simple to fit and have one of the widest choices of Fabrics and Colours. We have over 100 colour choices across 3 Roller Blind Ranges.

There only disadvantage is that the gap between the Fabric and the wall can be greater than other options.

To resolve this it is better to face fix the roller blind around 100mm above the recess and order the blind fabric size adding 100mm on to the recess width.

Do ensure you have at least 88mm additional clearance on each side of the blind for the gearing and the brackets.

Roman Blinds

Roman Blinds give great flexibility as a Blackout Lining can be added to most Fabrics.

They can be fitted inside the recess with a much closer fit than a Roller Blinds and so improving there Blackout performance.

Curtains

Curtains also can be selected with a Blackout lining and so can be a great choice.

Ensure when measuring they are fitted outside the recess where possible and select a track with an overlap arm.
