Here are my handy tips for choosing new blinds for your kitchen.

Think about why you want the blind…..
- Do you want to add a splash of colour? Roller Blinds are an excellent way of adding colour as there are hundreds of colours and patterns to choose from.
- Do you want the blind for Privacy? Venetians work very well for privacy as, although regular cleaning will be required to keep the slats clear of grease and dust!
- Do you want your blind for light filtering? Vertical Blinds are an excellent choice to regulate the light, they come in a wide. variety of colours and are easy to keep clean. Just remember that vertical slats will take up quite a lot of room on the windowsill!

Patterned Roller Blinds Add Sophistication and Fun
If you are going to pull the blind down every day then a blind with a pattern can add a touch of luxury and design. If you want the blind to dress the window, then a plain blind will work better as a pattern will not show.
Which Blinds are Not Good in a Kitchen?
Roman Blinds and Curtains are lovely to look at, but not ideal in a Kitchen. The soft fabrics used to make these window coverings are not treated against moisture damage and may become soiled in a steamy kitchen environment. The fabrics may also take on cooking smells which will linger!
